Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hazel service, which is provided by Haven Technology Solutions ("Haven Tech," "we," or "us"). By subscribing to Hazel, logging in to the Hazel dashboard at hazel.haventechsolutions.com, or exchanging messages with Hazel via SMS, voice, or email, you agree to these Terms.
What Hazel is
Hazel is an AI-assisted back-of-house service for residential builders and contractors. Hazel helps a builder coordinate their projects by drafting client communications, change orders, daily logs, invoice responses, and similar back-office work. Every outward-facing action Hazel takes on the builder's behalf either (a) passes through the builder's approval queue before being sent, or (b) has been explicitly authorized by the builder under the trust-tier model described in the product.
Accounts
To subscribe to Hazel as a builder, you must create an account, provide accurate business information (including a valid EIN for US businesses), and maintain the security of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
If you add subcontractors, vendors, or clients to your Hazel contact roster, you represent that (i) those contacts are active parties on one or more of your projects, (ii) you have a business relationship with them in which SMS, voice, or email coordination is reasonably expected, and (iii) you will respect their opt-out requests.
SMS and messaging terms
You can opt out of SMS from Hazel at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message. Reply HELP for help. Reply START to re-subscribe after opting out. For assistance, email support@haventechsolutions.com.
Hazel's SMS service is operated from a US phone number and is intended for use by parties on residential construction projects in the United States. International delivery is not guaranteed.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Hazel to:
- Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam), or messages that violate applicable law (including but not limited to the TCPA in the United States).
- Harass, defraud, threaten, or harm any person, or send content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts.
- Circumvent A2P 10DLC or other carrier compliance requirements by sending messaging traffic through Hazel that does not match the registered use case.
- Upload content to which you do not have rights, or share confidential information that you are not authorized to share.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may remove contacts from the SMS system if we reasonably believe a contact did not consent to receive messages.
Service availability and changes
We aim to provide Hazel reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, modify, or remove features over time. Material changes affecting existing functionality will be communicated in the dashboard or via email where reasonably possible.
Builder's approval is required
Hazel is designed to draft outbound actions — messages to clients or subcontractors, change orders, invoices, payment reminders — and queue them for the builder's approval. The builder is responsible for reviewing and approving what goes out. Haven Tech is not liable for content the builder has explicitly approved or manually sent through Hazel.
Third-party services
Hazel integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (LLM), Supabase (database), Telnyx and ClawdTalk (SMS and voice), AgentMail (email), Google (Gmail, for builders who connect their account so Hazel can send approved emails on their behalf via OAuth), and Intuit / QuickBooks (for builders who opt in via OAuth). Your use of those services through Hazel is subject to those services' own terms. Haven Tech is not responsible for third-party service outages or changes outside our control.
Fees and billing
Subscription fees, per-message costs, and any other applicable charges are described at signup or in the dashboard. We may change pricing with advance notice to active subscribers. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Intellectual property
Haven Tech retains all rights in the Hazel service, including software, dashboards, and model configurations. Builders retain all rights in their own project data. Builders grant Haven Tech a limited license to process that data as needed to operate the service.
Disclaimer of warranties
Hazel is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haven Tech disclaims any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Hazel's AI-generated content is a draft aid; builders are responsible for reviewing it before approving it to be sent.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haven Tech's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Hazel service shall not exceed the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Haven Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Haven Tech harmless from claims arising from (i) your misuse of the service, (ii) content you submit or approve, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of applicable law including the TCPA.
Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the Hazel dashboard or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or legal risk. On termination, we will provide a reasonable window to export your data.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for changes that materially affect your rights, by notifying builders through the Hazel dashboard or email.
